This Friday, The Lickerish Quartet (1970), is being shown at New York’s Quad Cinema – the first public screening of one of Radley Metzger‘s films since the director’s passing last month.
We look at a selection of behind the scenes photographs of Radley at work on the film.

Very touching to see these so soon after his passing.
I’ll at the Quad and hope to see you there.
Interesting to see the alternative (shooting?) title – “Giuoco Di Pensieri”. Never knew this. Any idea what it means…?
Game of Thoughts
Mind Games.
The male lead, Frank Wolff, (seen with hindquarters towards camera while lying on the “dictionary” flooring), was “killed” by Henry Fonda in ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST. His character’s murder at the beginning of the movie sets the plot in motion.
That’s Wolff’s butt?? Not a side of him I’m used to seeing.
He did a few other excellent Euro-westerns, including ‘The Great Silence’ and ‘God Forgives..I don’t!’.
Fantastic pics, RR.
